Class - About Jenazah, Hukum Faraidth and Talaq

Posted in religion with tags , on April 27, 2008 by Massy
This is Ustaz Suhaimi! Quite advanced already. This week, he brought his laptop so his listeners can view power point slides.
And this is Syuk-Ma- Ladoo!
I’m finally back to Ustaz Suhaimi’s class after having attended some really good maulids on the past Sundays.
Today’s lesson was a bit on Jenazah, Hukum Faraidth and Al Talaq.
Here are the pointers:

- Handling of jenazah is a Fardhu Kifayah.

- The donations or sumbangan that you received from visitors (relatives and neighbours) are meant to pay for the whole death ceremony.

- The family of the dead can’t use the money received for something else, like food and water.

Maulid at Masjid Istigfar.

Posted in religion with tags , on April 14, 2008 by Massy

It was a solid 4 hours of maulid, which started at 8.30 am - selawats, syarahans, and cukur rambut for the newborn babies - and ended at 12.30 pm with Nasi Bryani Masjid Khadijah. Alhamdullillah.

Each Ulamak took about 10 minutes to syarah. I remembered Ustaz Erwan Hady, happened to be one of the youngest in the group, and he selawat Nabi in the form of a Nasyid. It was so nice!

The Ulamaks present (I am only stating half of the names that I could recall):

- Habib Abbas
- Sheikh Maqsud
- Ustaz Khairudin (Mantan guru Madrasah Aljunid)
- Ustaz Jaafar Banafiq (Mantan guru Madrasah Aljunid)
- Ustaz Halil Abdul Manan (Mantan guru Madrasah Aljunid)
- Ustaz Syed Hamid Alkaff
- Ustaz Ghouse Khan Suratee (Imam Masjid Al-Firdaus)
- Ustaz Erwan Hady
- Ustaz Muhammad Feer

KH. Aagym syarahan (Sunday, Part 2)

Posted in religion with tags , on April 6, 2008 by Massy
KH. Aagym is one of the Ulamaks in Indonesia and to have him here to give his wise syarahan was an honour. Alhamdullillah for those chosen ones from Allah to go to listen to him. He was so spiritual, so serene when listening to him. His syarahan got everyone crying and wanting Allah’s forgiveness. His slowly and carefully chosen words managed to reach deep in my heart and the rest who listened. When he sang some nasyids and do the azan, it sounded like Yusuf Islam! His voice is so nice. His doa to Allah was a long and teary one because it makes you realise how much we love Allah. I wish I could have it recorded. I would definitely go to hear his syarahan again if Allah ever invite him to Singapore. It was the best syarahan I’ve heard this year.

Thank You Allah for the invitation. Alhamdullillah.

The topic: Qalbu Suci Sesuci Embun di Pagi Hari.

Here is the pointers to his syarahan:

Some parts of Ad - Daibai’ (Sunday, Part 1)

Posted in religion with tags , on April 6, 2008 by Massy

Maulid Daibai’ at Masjid Darul Aman today was very in-depth. Aside from the different kinds of Selawats for Nabi, there were doas on Nabi’s history. And Marhabban - where Nabi Muhammad SAW will come down to attend. Nabi will see who are those who celebrate His Birthday, who selawat to Nabi, and Insyallah, Nabi will give us Allah’s syafaat during Sakiratul Maut. Insyallah.

Bismilla hirrahmaa nirrahiim.

Ya robbi solli ‘alaa Muhammad, Ya robbi solli ‘allaihi wasallim
Ya robbi solli ‘alaa Muhammad, Ya robbi balligh-hul wasiilah [...]

Ya Tuhanku, shower us with cahaya Nabi Muhammad SAW.
Ya Tuhanku, take care of us with your pemeliharaan and kesejahterahan Mu.
Ya Tuhanku, please allow us to be in Your Heaven.
Ya Tuhanku, save us from your seksaan kubur and azab api neraka.
Ya Tuhanku, don’t let us die unless we die in Iman terhadapMu, let us die in Syahid.
Ta Tuhanku, ensure our lives are always happy and blessed with your Blessings.
Ya Tuhanku, make better those who already has done good.
Ya Tuhanku, stop people from hurting other people.
Ya Tuhanku, please let us have Syafaat Nabi Muhammad SAW in Sakiratul Maut.

Class - Other Kemushkilan Agama & Friday Prayers

Posted in religion with tags , on March 30, 2008 by Massy

The bottom are answers by Ustaz Suhaimi on kemushkilan agama.

Ustaz told us a story and mentioned some historical names that are hard for me to follow. But the girl name in this story is Sophia.

Sophia is a yahudi. This is a story of how she converted to Islam and the lesson we can learn from it.

Nabi Muhammad SAW knows that the yahudi’s is the toughest religion when it comes to converting to Islam. Nabi says that once Allah has closed the hearts of those people, it is hard for them to follow the right path. Just like in the case of Firaun and Abu Lahab, even though they have witnessed the truth of Islam, it is hard for them to mengucap the kalimah syahadah.

And so this Sophia, one day, heard her uncles having a conversation. The uncles are religious people of the yahudi faith. One of the uncles asked the other whether Nabi Muhammad is the last Prophet. And the other uncle replied saying he swear in the name of Allah, that Nabi Muhammad SAW is the last Prophet. But he told the other uncle that they should not spread the word of the right religion, Islam.
